The Patch News Partners Program, started in 2018, grew to 95 news orgs and almost 200 unique feeds powered by an automated content ingestion machine. By 2021, the partners were generating an average 3.3M monthly page views on the platform. Partners included Consumer Reports, US News, CBS Local, CalMatters, Chalkbeat, Texas Tribune, small local outlets and universities, including Stanford and University of Michigan, and the Institute for Nonprofit News. The program featured a penny-per-pageview revenue share for nonprofits and a different formula for commercial outlets.
